 ​Get Ready for the annual Waveland Park Easter Egg Hunt!

Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00am sharp
(Arrive by 9:45am to get settled and ready)

Perkins Elementary School
4301 College Ave, Des Moines, IA

 

Hundreds of eggs are headed for the Perkins playground, and the Easter Bunny will be there to kick things off. Bring your kids, your friends, and your camera.This one goes fast!

 

Event Details

• The hunt starts exactly at 10:00am. In past events, the eggs are gone within 3 minutes!

• The Easter Bunny will be mingling before the start for photos and high-fives.

• Playground structures will be open during the event.

• Age-specific areas will be set up for little, middle, and big kids.

• Bring a basket or bag to collect your eggs.

• Rain or shine, we plan to hold the event. Check our Facebook page for any last-minute updates.

   

After the event

Once your eggs are claimed and candy is secured, please empty and return the plastic eggs to the designated area near the Perkins shelter (bonus points if they’re snapped closed—it helps us reuse them next year).
